Gravity Fields Trip

Today Eagle class and Owl class had a brilliant day in Grantham and Woolsthorpe as part of the Gravity Fields festival.

Eagle class firstly went to Woolsthorpe Manor where we met Isaac Newton and learnt a little bit about his life. We had look in his house and had the chance to explore some of his discoveries.

We then went to the George Centre in Grantham for a visit to the Apothecary. We learnt about cures such for baldness and how to see what ailment affected someone from their wee! We then got a bit messy making cures.

Finally we walked to the Guildhall to see the 'Feel the Force' show which was an exciting and fun interactive presentation to teach us about Newton's theories.

Thank you to Miss Magan and Mrs Arnold who helped us on our trip, as well as Mrs Williams and Mrs Daly. Eagle class you were really well behaved and a credit to our school. I had spoken with the class beforehand about  the move from the George Center to the Guildhall as it involved walking up Grantham high street and crossing 2 roads, therefore the best listening and behaviour was definitely needed- I am pleased to report that  this went very smoothly and Miss Chadwick was very relieved when we were all safely eating lunch in the Guildhall! Thank you for a lovely day Eagle.
