Day 1:

Today we reflected on 2012 and thought about what we are looking forward to or hoping to achieve  in 2013. We have been learning about Janus who was an ancient Roman God. He had two faces, one looking forward and one looking back and so he could see the future and the past at the same time. He was the god of doors and gates and so of beginnings and openings. The month of January was named after him and was sacred to him. We used the idea of Janus to help us present our New Year Resolutions.

We will be starting work on our new theme tomorrow.
Here is a photo of our starting point display for our Asia theme. We will be adding to it with our work to show our learning over the coming weeks.
